General info about the 2023 Camp
Junior Elite Camp 2023 is designed as a day camp for skaters who are currently training on a synchro team at the Juvenile, Intermediate or Novice level. In-person sessions will be held at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough, MA, June 23-25, 2023. Skaters will be organized by age and experience into smaller groups with no more than 30 skaters on ice at a time. During the 10 hours of on-ice time skaters can expect to be working on power and speed, multi directional skating and balance as well as fun classes like Musical Interpretation and Movement sessions. While the main focus is on improving individual skills we will have a “Synchro Element” on ice session as well. Our on ice coaching staff includes, former Olympian Suzy Semanick-Schurman, and Melissa Williams (USFS & PSA Coach, Saratoga Springs FSC, Figures Gold Medalist), as well as Haydenettes Head Coach, Saga Krantz, and Lexettes Head Coach, Lee Chandler and Haydenettes skaters. This year we will also offer an off ice session with Olympic Dance/Movement Choreographer Randi Strong who is best known for being a Top 5 Female Dancer on Season 5 of the FOX Hit TV Show “So You Think You Can Dance”. Camp will be a day format with check in and out times each day with no overnight experience.
