Haydenettes Elite Camp 2020 will be held Wednesday, June 24 through Friday, June 26, 2020 in Marlborough, MA.
Join us for 2020 Haydenettes Elite Camp in Marlborough, MA! Elite Camp is a unique training camp, with limited enrollment, designed for advanced skaters that offers each participant the opportunity to skate with the 27 time U.S. National Champions and 5 time Bronze World Medalists, the Haydenettes. Camp includes both on-ice and off-ice sessions that place emphasis on footwork, edge quality, speed, power, development of formation, and transitions.
2020’s Haydenettes Elite Camp will feature guest coaches Anne Schelter, author of the renowned Annie’s Edges and Olympic ice dancer, Charlie White. Saga Krantz, the Head Coach of the Haydenettes and Director of Synchronized Skating for Hayden Synchronized Skating will continue as the camp’s head coach. She will be joined this year by Lee Chandler, former Canadian NEXXICE member, Champion in figure skating and new Hayden Synchronized Skating coach. Together, this exciting group of coaches will test, challenge and improve the skating skills of the elite skater.
Anne Schelter is a world famous technical expert in the training of edge control, acting and choreography for figure skaters and skating teams. She has given seminars for the ISU Development Programs, choreographed programs for singles and synchronized skating teams and presented numerous workshops for Theatre On Ice programs.
Charlie White is a decorated ice dancer. Among his many accomplishments are, with his ice dance partner, Meryl Davis, a gold medal and a bronze team event medal at the 2014 Olympics, a silver medal at the 2010 Olympics, five Grand Prix Final Championships, three Four Continents Championships and six US National Championships.
Lee Chandler joined the coaching staff of Hayden Synchronized Skating Teams for the 2020-2021 season. Chandler brings many years of professional experience, as both a coach and skater. His skating credentials and achievements speak of a career of excellence that includes: 6 times World Synchronized Skating Competitor & Team Canada Member with NEXXICE (2011-2016). During this time they earned 3 World Silver Medals and were the 2015 World Champions. Chandler is also a 5 time Canadian Champion in figure skating (Pre-Novice Men’s Champions 2006 & 2007, Novice Men’s Champion 2008, 2009 & 2010.)
Eligibility for camp:
Skaters must be 15 years old or older and have passed their Senior Moves-in-the-Field test prior to June 24, 2020.
Hotel accommodations will be at the Hampton Inn by Hilton, 277 Boston Post Road, Marlborough, MA. Ice sessions will be at the New England Sports Center, 121 Donald Lynch Blvd, Marlborough, MA.
$685. The camp fee includes hotel accommodations for 2 nights; dinner on Wednesday; breakfast, lunch and dinner on Thursday; breakfast and lunch on Friday. Payment must be made via Paypal at the time of registration. No checks of any kind will be accepted.
Skaters should plan to arrive at the hotel lobby on Wednesday, June 24 at 3:00 PM and depart from the rink on Friday, June 26 at 4:00 PM. Transportation between the hotel and rink each day will be provided. Skaters are responsible for their own transportation to Camp on Wednesday and from Camp on Friday.
ALL SKATERS MUST MEET THE AGE AND MOVES-IN-THE-FIELD REQUIREMENTS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR CAMP.
To register, you will need the following information for the skater:
- USFSA number
- Test levels for Moves, Freestyle, Dance
- Doctor and dentist names, addresses, phone numbers
- Health insurance information
- Emergency contact information
Elite Camp Registration Checklist:
- Skater is 15 years old or older AND has passed their Senior Moves-in-the-Field
- Complete the online registration and payment via Paypal
- Download and complete Form A (release form) and Form B (physical form)
- Print the skater’s test record from the US Figure Skating website
- Make a copy of both sides of the skater’s health insurance card

Cancellation Policy: 50% refund on or before May 1, 2020. No refunds on or after May 2, 2020. Cancellations due to unexpected injury or illness will not be given special consideration and are subject to our cancellation policy. There is a $25 administrative fee charged for all cancellations.
My skater is 15 years old, has not yet passed their Senior Moves In The Field, but has plans to test before Camp. Can I register for Elite Camp?
We will accept a registration for a skater in this situation (provided they meet the age requirement.) However; please be aware that we STRICTLY enforce the rule that skaters MUST pass Senior level Moves In The Field prior to the start of Camp on June 24, 2020. If you choose to register prior to passing, you assume a financial obligation. If the skater is not able to pass the Senior level test prior to Camp for any reason, they will NOT be allowed to attend Camp. You will be asked to cancel the registration and our cancellation policy will apply, resulting in a partial or full loss of the registration fees.
My skater is currently 14 years old, but has a birthday before the start of Camp. Can I register for Elite Camp?
Skaters must be 15 years old by the start of Camp, on June 24th. If the skater will be 15 on or before June 24th, 2020, they are eligible to register.
Do you provide transportation to and from the airport?
No. We recommend Knight’s Airport Limousine Service, www.knightslimo.com, if you need to arrange transportation between the hotel and airport.
Do you provide transportation between the hotel and rink during the camp?
Yes. Once the skater is dropped off at the camp, bus service will be provided at designated times for the skaters to go between the rink and the hotel.
Do skaters need to have a car at camp?
No. There is very limited down-time at camp and skaters won’t need transportation during camp other than what is provided.
Do I need to make a hotel reservation for my skater?
No. The camp will organize and book hotel rooms for all participants. The hotel cost is included in the cost of camp.
As a parent, do I need to stay at the hotel during the camp?
No, once the skater is dropped off at the camp the organization will provide the program, room, food, and transportation.
Can parents stay at the same hotel as skaters? If so, is there a room block or a special rate available for parents? Can skaters room with their parents?
Parents may stay at the same hotel; however skaters must room with other camp participants. Part of the camp experience includes getting to know other skaters and friends. There is no room block for parents.
How many skaters per room and can we chose roommates?
There will be 3 to 4 skaters per room. Skaters may request 2 roommates. We will do our best to put skaters with one of their requests.
Will rooming lists and daily schedules be available in advance?
Rooming assignments and daily schedules will be distributed at check in on the first day of camp.
Who can drop off my skater?
Anyone can drop off your skater as long as we have received all the camp information we need to have on file for your skater.
Who can pick-up my skater?
If your skater is under the age of 18, only people listed on the Skater Release Form can pick up the skater. Skaters 18 and older may leave on their own.
Can my skater arrive late or leave early?
Yes, however there is no pro-rated deduction to the camp fee. Also sessions missed by the skater cannot be made up. We ask that you notify the camp of any planned early/late arrivals or departures.
Can I videotape the camp?
No, but you may take photos.
What is your refund policy?
For Elite Camp, a 50% refund will be issued if cancelled before May 1st. There are no refunds on or after May 2, 2020. There is a $25 administration fee charged for all cancellations.
My skater has a food allergy or intolerance can they still come to camp?
Yes, we will do our best to accommodate food allergies and intolerances within reason. Please be sure to note any known issues on the skater's paperwork. We will have a nut free policy for snacks in the hotel rooms.
What are the sleeping arrangements?
The hotel rooms have two full size beds. There are 4 skaters per room, two skaters will share a bed.
