We are excited to announce that Suzanne Semanick-Schurman will be a Guest Coach at the 2017 Junior Elite Camp!
Her achievements include: 1988 Olympic Ice Dancer; 5th in Worlds; 3 time National Gold Medalist; PSA Master Rated in Moves, Dance, Free Dance, Sport Science; and USFS Triple Gold Medalist.
Ms. Semanick-Schurman has been teaching for over 27 years and is currently the Skating Director at the Pond Ice Arena in Newark, DE. She has worked with the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Haydenettes, the University of Delaware, and the LaExpress and San Diego synchro teams on skating skills and power.
Junior Elite Camp also features Saga Krantz, Head Coach of the Haydenettes, Lexettes, and Ice Mates and Director of Synchronized Skating for Hayden Synchronized Skating.
This camp provides skaters with several on-ice and off-ice sessions each day, focusing on enhancing individual, team and synchronized skating skills. Special emphasis will be placed on footwork, edge quality, speed, power, development of formations, and transitions. Presentation, audience appeal, and expression will also be demonstrated and displayed.
Eligibility for camp:
Skaters must be at least 12 years old on the camp start date and not older than 17. Skaters must have passed the intermediate moves in the field test or higher.
Camp schedule:
Junior Elite Camp Start: Friday, June 23, 2017, 3:00 pm
Junior Elite Camp End: Sunday, June 25, 2017, 3:30 pm

Cost:
The camp fee is $595.00. The camp fee includes hotel and meals.
Transportation:
Do you provide transportation to and from the airport?
No. We recommend Knights Airport Limousine Service, www.knightslimo.com, if you need to arrange transportation between the hotel and airport.
Do you provide transportation between the hotel and rink during the camp?
Yes. Once the skater is dropped off at the camp, bus service will be provided at designated times for the skaters to go between the rink and the hotel.
Do skaters need to have a car at camp?
No. There is very limited down-time at camp and skaters will not need transportation during camp other than what is provided.

To register, you will need the following information for the skater:
- USFS number
- USFS Test Levels for Moves, Freestyle, Dance
- Doctor and dentist names, addresses, phone numbers
- Health insurance information (company, policy number)
- Emergency contact information
Junior Elite Camp Registration Checklist:
- Complete the online registration here (disabled for 2017).
- Download and fill out Form A (release form) and Form B (physical form): 2017 Junior Elite Camp Forms A & B.
- Print the skater's test record from the U.S. Figure Skating's website.
- Make a copy of both sides of the skater's health insurance card.

Cancellation policy: 50% refund on or before May 1, 2017. No refunds on or after May 2, 2017. A $25 administration fee will be charged for all cancellations.

FAQs
Do you provide transportation to and from the airport?

Do I need to make a hotel reservation for my skater?
No. The camp will organize and book hotel rooms for all participants. The hotel cost is included in the cost of camp.
As a parent, do I need to stay at the hotel during the camp?
No, once the skater is dropped off at the camp the organization will provide the program, room, food, and transportation.
Can parents stay at the same hotel as skaters? If so, is there a room block or a special rate available for parents? Can skaters room with their parents?
Parents may stay at the same hotel; however skaters must room with other camp participants. Part of the camp experience includes getting to know other skaters and friends. There is no room block for parents.
How many skaters per room and can we chose roommates?
There will be 3 to 4 skaters per room. You can request two roommates and we will try to accommodate one.
Will rooming lists and daily schedules be available in advance?
Rooming assignments and daily schedules will be distributed at check in on the first day of camp.
Who can drop-off and/or pick-up my skater?
Only people listed on the Arrival Departure Authorization Form can drop off or pick up the skater. The form must be signed by the parent or guardian. Scan and email the form in advance of camp or turn the form in at Check-In. Arrival Departure Authorization Form
Can my skater arrive late or leave early?
Yes, however there is no pro-rated deduction in the camp fee. Also sessions missed by the skater cannot be made up. We ask that you notify the camp of any planned early/late arrivals or departures.
Can I videotape the camp?
No. You can take photos.
What is your refund policy?
For Junior Elite Camp, a 50% refund will be issued if cancelled on or before May 1, 2017. There are no refunds on or after May 2, 2017. There is a $25 administration fee charged for all cancellations.
My skater has a food allergy or intolerance can they still come to camp?
Yes, we will do our best to accommodate food allergies and intolerances within reason. Please be sure to note any known issues on the skaters paperwork. We will have a nut free policy for snacks in the hotel rooms.
What are the sleeping arrangements?
The hotel rooms have two queen size beds. There are are 4 skaters per room , two skaters will share a queen size bed.
